To everything that we most commonly see or experience, there is always a different perspective that we hardly observe. ‘Not just another day’ is a seascape that explains just this. The most common views at a seascape are bright, cheery and colourful. However, there could be a different side to it that is more dramatic and unnerving. The intense colours of the sky, which is the focus here, and its reflection are a rare sight of a seascape. The painting does not show another regular cheery and bright beach day. It rather gives an absolutely new view of the same scape giving the viewer a new perspective.
